It’s truly springtime when our talented Claxton third, fourth, and fifth graders perform in the Spring Production, and we’re happy to report that spring 2016 has been rung in with high style by this year’s performance of The Nifty Fifties.

The Asheville City Schools Art Show runs through April 19 at the YMI Cultural Center at 39 South Market Street.
Claxton’s Media Center is teaming up with Spellbound Children’s Books to bring in British children’s author Jane Clarke on Tuesday April 12th to help our students celebrate National Poetry Month! She will be meeting with 3rd grade for a poetry workshop and will give a poetry performance for our K-2 students.
All students are invited to purchase Jane’s newest release at 20% off the cover price! If you would like to purchase a book you can use the link below. Students who pre-order books will receive their copy on the 12th and can have it signed by Jane. Books will also be available for purchase with cash or check the day of the event and can also have it signed. The discounted cost of the book applies to both online purchases and purchases made at school and is $11.11. We are so excited for her special visit to our school. Happy Poetry Month!
