How to enroll
The Magnet School Program was developed in the Asheville City Schools district to allow elementary students to attend the school whose magnet “theme” best matches their interests. Our magnet schools are not defined by geographic area like neighborhood public schools. Instead, elementary students in Asheville City Schools may attend the elementary school of their choice, as long as there is space available and racial balance is maintained.
To enroll in the Magnet School Program, you may go in person to the Asheville City Schools central offices at 85 Mountain St., Asheville, NC 28801, or click here to go to the ACS website and follow the instructions there.
